About Peter Johnson
Attorney Peter Johnson is in charge of the firm’s DUI defense. Mr. Johnson is a member of the National College of DUI Defense (NCDD); the California DUI Lawyers Association (CDLA); the California State Bar, and currently serves as President of the Criminal Section of the Contra Costa County Bar. Mr. Johnson has attended well over a 100 hours of DUI specific training provided by renowned experts in the field throughout the country. Mr. Johnson has met with the top scientists in the field and the top representatives from manufacturers of Breath Testing Equipment to discuss issues related to DUI defense. And, he has completed the NHTSA/IACP DWI Detection/Standardized Field Sobriety Testing Course. (Same course taken by law enforcement). He has conducted informational seminars covering the subject of DUI laws and has appeared on community television programming for the purpose of educating the public regarding DUI laws.
Mr. Johnson has an excellent trial record and has established a solid reputation for aggressive and winning DUI defense.
Mr. Johnson has been called a “REAL LAWYER” following a trial before a renowned United States District Court Judge from the Northern District of California and is said to have “SHOOK THE FOUNDATION” of a local police department by a Magistrate Judge following a trial before him in the U.S. District Court, Northern District of California.
Peter Johnson graduated from St. Mary’s College and then became a graduate of Golden Gate University, School of Law, in 1992. He opened his practice immediately in Pittsburg, California and has been practicing there since 1993.
Mr. Johnson currently serves President of the Criminal Law Section as well as a member of the Labor Law Section of the Contra Costa County Bar Association. He has an excellent win rate in Drunk Driving cases. He is a member of the National College of DUI Defense and the California DUI Lawyers Association, and has attended prestigious conferences throughout the country dealing with issues related to DUI defense, Criminal Defense, Employment Law and Civil Rights.
